Our story

WP Engine Ireland was established in September 2016 in Limerick. The senior leadership team from our HQ in Austin, Texas loved the city, the people, the culture, and its potential for growth, especially with the 3rd level education institutions in the region. Starting out as a small group of Technical Support and Software Engineering teams, over the past five years, WP Engine’s Irish community has now grown to more than 120 employees across several departments.

When we aren't working

We have a fantastic Culture Club setup. The team organises Zoom Yoga classes, HIIT classes, astro soccer, board game events,special guests (Blindboy Boatclub, Lewis Capaldi and Pat Divilly to name a few) and they send us fantastic gifts around company events and milestones.

We are big fans of tea at WP Engine Ireland. The great debate amongst us is our favourite brand, Barrys v Lyons, with the occasional English tea thrown in to cause an extra stir.

We give back to Ireland

Clionas Foundation, Limerick Suicide Watch, Darkness in to Light, Jigsaw are some of the foundations we raise money and awareness for annually.
